Our History

Allegiance Carpet and Upholstery, L.L.C. is locally owned and operated by two brothers, Donovan and Darrold Jarstad. Donovan is a police officer in a small suburb of Madison and Darrold is an assembly worker at General Motors in Janesville. The two brothers decided to take a chance and launch a new business.

After much consideration it was decided that carpet cleaning was the route they would take. The next decision was where to learn the trade. Many equipment dealers were contacted and researched. At the end, one supplier stood out far above the others, Bane-Clene Systems.

Bane-Clene Systems was founded by William (Bill) Bane (pictured to left). Bill started the company as a cleaning service in 1962. In 1969, he developed the warm water truck mounted cleaning system and focused solely on carpet cleaning. Bill began to manufacture his own equipment in 1974. Bane-Clene Systems diligent effort has earned the company a position of prominence in the industry and the CRI (Carpet and Rug Institute) "Seal of Approval."

After the decision was made to use Bane-Clene Systems, Donovan and Darrold traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to attend classes on carpet and upholstery cleaning at the Bane-Clene Institute. Bane-Clene is recommended by leading carpet makers and fiber producers as the premier training facility in the industry.

After training at the Bane-Clene Institute a written test is required to obtain the CRI “Seal of Approval.” Donovan and Darrold both obtained over an 85% on the exam and can now boast that Allegiance Carpet and Upholstery, L.L.C. has the prestigious CRI “Seal of Approval.” Allegiance Carpet and Upholstery, L.L.C. also is a member of the Professional Cleaners Association (PCA) as a result of graduating from the Bane-Clene Institute.

Our Promise

We are focused on quality. Our job is not done until the customer is happy. We will make every effort to make your carpets, rugs and upholstery look the very best that they can. We will return to your home or business to correct any problems at no charge if you are not satisfied with our job.

Carpet cleaning is a service. We intend to provide you with the best possible service in the industry. Allegiance Carpet and Upholstery, L.L.C. will go the extra mile for our customers. For your added security, all Allegiance Carpet and Upholstery, L.L.C. employees will be easily recognizable by photo ID Cards displayed on their belt. All employees will be in uniform while on the job.

Allegiance is defined by Merriam-Websters Dictionary as “loyalty to a group or cause.” We pledge that we will be loyal to the satisfaction of our customer by remaining loyal to our commitment to be “Your Quality Carpet Cleaners.”
